North Downs riding - still rocks!

It's no secret that I've not had the most active season this year, but like I've said before my season has just started now - a late start to the season - which includes cyclo-cross, track and the last few local road races.

So when Mark said he was planning a mountain bike ride around the north downs I added it to my calendar without hesitation. Meeting at Newlands Corner Mark, Jody, Chris, Matt, Sam and I set off for a fast ride 3hr ride. I know Jody & Sam are flying as is Mark so there'd be no hanging around. The last time I rode with Jody was at the SL Ewhurst road race back in August, and he was riding well then.

The trails are dry and dusty - a perfect combo for some sweet trails. And, with Sam and Mark with built their 'built-in GPS systems' we rode amazing swoopy tracks, some quite bumpy - Barry Knows Best to name but one.

After a short pro-stop cuppa at Peaslake, we headed the long way back finally ascending back to the top of Newlands Corner.

Thanks for a great ride chaps and the group-sponsored cup of tea.

Ride stats:
Time: 03:06
HR: 162/200 (ave/max)
Ascent: 1100m
