Unveiling the race jersey

On Saturday (21st June) I was given my jersey and shorts for the race. Looks rather nice hey? (Photo courtesy if Ross Muir, MD, LaFuga)

Hey there Rob, rode out with you to Hillingdon last night. Hope you got the lift back.

ps: it turned out as I'd hoped - I hid myself in the bunch and had the strength left at the end to get a place for a change!

Hi Gray, thanks for the ride out. Was rather pleasant with bags of time before the start.

Yes, I got a lift back with Nigel from Norwood Paragon. I was relieved because by the time the crit was over I'd clocked up 4hrs and the thought of another 2hrs would have broken me. I'm still riding back into fitness so don't want to overdo it ;-)

Nice one on your result. I love it when it works out like that. I started a break after a couple of laps. I was soon joined by a team mate Alex Peterson (AW Cycles) and Colin Roshier. We managed to stay away for most of the race but by 3 laps to go we got caught. Such a shame, but that's racing. I managed to finish in the bunch. I had a good training session so not all was lost.

Should we meet up next week? Drop me an email off the blog if you're keen. (robenslin at gmail dot com)
